The following information is made available in order that our Village residents, business operators and visitors are kept informed of operational changes within the Village of Loudonville due to the current statewide COVID-19 situation. The primary goal of our Village officials and workers is to provide uninterrupted necessary services to our residents and business establishments, although the delivery mechanisms of some of those services may be somewhat altered.
Actions taken by Mayor Stricklen closely models the response of the City of Columbus to minimize the virus spread. Some short term implementations include the following:
- The Village Business Office is temporarily closed to walk-in customers. A drop-off box is available in the Village Hall/Theatre lobby for Utility payments and completed Income Tax return forms. These items are collected frequently throughout the day, Monday through Friday during business hours.
- Events in the Ohio Theatre have been cancelled or postponed until further notice.
- Youth Building rentals are cancelled until further notice.
- Public Restrooms on Brentwood are closed.
It has been determined that many other municipalities throughout the State have adopted a similar list of responses. Further recommendations from the office of Governor DeWine, in addition to mandatory regulations, will be evaluated and adopted as necessary.
Village residents and affected individuals are welcome to ask appropriate questions or offer suggestions related to this evolving set of circumstances. Thank you for your understanding and support of the Loudonville Community.
